My son, Kent, has been an amazing and wonderful addition to my life since his birth. Sumit is another wonderful part to my life. I enjoy bicycling, except when I fall (which used to be often). In addition to more local rides to the coast and back, I've done some cross-country rides: two days across the Sierras and back, ten days from Seattle back home and three weeks from home to Yellowstone, then on to Colorado.
I also enjoy seeing new places, on or off a bike. I've been lucky enough to be able to visit parts of Switzerland (with my bike!), Belize, Australia, Germany, Greece, France, Italy, England, Portugal, Spain, Mexico, and India. Closer to home, we have had wonderful vacations in Banff (Canada), Yellowstone (driving this time), Seattle, Death Valley, the San Juan Islands, and the North Cascades. I'm a big fan of the redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I'm also lucky enough to live close enough to Yosemite National Park to visit often. Being able to cross-country ski in Yosemite is a special treat.
